Rapudo Proposes to Pay Amber Ray to Become a Stay-at-Home Wife
Amber Ray, also known as Faith Makau, and her fiancé Kennedy Rapudo recently had a disagreement over her club-hosting job on an episode of their reality show, *Nai Rich*.
Rapudo expressed his unease about Amber’s late-night work, saying, “At your age, it doesn’t make sense for you to host. Coming back from clubs in the morning isn’t ideal.” He suggested a solution, offering, “How about I pay you to stay at home, regardless of how much you earn? I think these gigs should be left to younger socialites.”

He emphasized the importance of prioritizing their young family, pointing out that their baby, Afrikanah, is just 10 months old, adding, “My wife shouldn’t be hosting in clubs.”
Although Rapudo acknowledged his support for Amber’s career, he admitted feeling uncomfortable with her job. In response, Amber stood her ground, saying, “I don’t want to lose myself because of a relationship. You knew I was doing this when we met.”
She voiced her concerns about financial independence, asking, “What if one day he decides to stop giving me money? I’ll be stuck with six kids, doing housework. How would I manage? I can’t risk my brand and just become a housewife.”

Reflecting on past experiences, Amber explained, “I’ve been there before, and it led to a lot of disrespect. I support your work, and it doesn’t harm our relationship.”
She concluded by defending her career, saying, “People think hosting isn’t a real job, but we sometimes make more money than doctors.”
