Radio Africa Group announces fresh round of retrenchment

Radio Africa Group, the parent company of Classic FM, Kiss 100, Radio Jambo, East FM and Gukena along with the Star newspaper and Mpasho has announced a fresh round of retrenchment after axing their TV division just a month ago.

It should be noted that media is currently undergoing a very uncomfortable evolution as most of the traditional media streams of income have been challenged by digital outlets.

Radio Africa Group aren’t the only media entity that has carried out a redundancy drive, nor is it the only entity that has had an issue with paying staff (correspondents) as Standard Group and Nation Media Group too have struggled to pay their staff and carried out retrenchment activities respectively.
