“We deeply regret to announce that Diamond Platnumz did not perform at the Furaha City Festival as scheduled. As organizers, we made every effort to accommodate him and his team, ensuring that all plans and contingencies were in place for a seamless experience. Despite our best efforts, his team’s behavior and demands proved regrettable and unnecessarily overbearing,” Raburu stated.
He emphasized that while the organizers respect Diamond’s status as a top-tier artist, professionalism and mutual respect are vital in such collaborations. Raburu assured fans that the team is committed to resolving the matter amicably and learning from the experience to ensure greater success for future editions of the festival.
Raburu also acknowledged a minor security issue involving another artist during the event, which was swiftly resolved to ensure the show continued smoothly and professionally.
In his statement, Raburu praised the artists who performed, highlighting the exceptional energy and professionalism displayed by Kenyan musicians, as well as performances from Wasafi artists Zuchu and Rayvanny, who delivered memorable sets.
“We are incredibly proud of the remarkable performances delivered by all the other artists. Kenyan artists outdid themselves, showcasing impeccable talent and energy to give the audience an unforgettable experience,” he said.
Raburu’s response comes after attendees expressed disappointment over Diamond’s no-show at the event.
