For an appointment to be made, the PSC must announce a vacancy in a specific position(s) then shortlist the applicants who have met the required threshold.

This was not the case for Jacque Maribe, who was reportedly offered a job by head of Ministry of Public Service Performance and Delivery Management, Moses Kuria.

The reports on Maribe’s appointment came after she was released on the case involving Monicah Kimani’s murder; which also involved her ex-boyfriend Jowie Irungu

Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, who stood with Maribe while embroiled in the case, congratulated her on the new role.

“Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve Asante @HonMoses_Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand,” he said.

In a statement released today, Public Service Commission chairperson Anthony Muchiri asserted that no such appointment has been made and the board has not received any request to employ Maribe.

”The Public Service Commission has not appointed former Royal Media journalist Jacque Maribe as head of communication in the Ministry of Public Service, performance and delivery management, contrary to social media posts attribute to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria,” part of the statement read.

Jacque Maribe remains silent on the issue.
