Propesa comedian released from police custody after he was arrested for having two ballot papers
Comedian from popular group ‘Propesa’ Dennis Kipyegon Ruto was yesterday arrested for having two ballot papers for the Senate seat which led him to be taken to the Nyayo National Stadium police station where he was interrogated before his release.
From the stories making rounds on social media, the young man was spotted by an IEBC agent official ,Josphine Maina, who raised the alarm before Kipyegon returned the extra ballot paper.
In his defense Kipyegon said he was given two ballot papers by the clerk but after realizing it, he returned the extra one. One of his brothers, Kimutai said;
“He returned it of his own volition before marking it,”
However, after explaining himself Kipyegon was
released – but judging from how the public has reacted to this situation, the young men have been warned that elections are nothing to joke about!
