Planned Power Maintenance Scheduled for January 29, 2025

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power maintenance for Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in select areas across Nairobi, Kilifi, Narok, and Kwale counties. The planned outages, aimed at improving service reliability, will take place between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Affected Areas:

Nairobi County

  • Areas: Part of Dagoretti Road, Part of Kikuyu Road
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Impacted Locations: Dagoretti Children’s Home, Dagoretti Market, Gitiba Primary, Kirigu Primary, Gachui, Waithaka Shopping Centre, Kirigu Cemetery, Patheneous, and adjacent customers.

Kilifi County

  • Area: Gongoni Salt Works, Malindi
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Impacted Locations: Krystal Line Salts Gongoni, Malindi Salt Works, Kensalts Gongoni, Gongoni Market, Kakuyuni Market, Savanna Residence, Sabaki area, Mijikenda Residence, KBC, Marekebuni, Marafa Market, Garashi Dispensary, Wakala Market, Adu Kamale, San Marico Ngomeni, and adjacent customers.

Narok County

  • Areas: Rotian, Kisiriri, Tipis
  • Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Impacted Locations: Motonyi, Rotian, Kisiriri, Naisoya, Enengetia, Enabelbel, Olokirkirai, Tipis, Oloropil, Topoti, Empatpat, Olchorro, and adjacent customers.

Kwale County

  • Area: Shamu and Environs
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Impacted Locations: Kentaste, Shamu, Kona Musa, Babla, Mwapala, Maasai Corner, and adjacent customers.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly to minimize disruptions. KPLC urges customers to exercise caution when handling electrical appliances and to treat all power lines as live during the outage period.
