Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power interruptions in several areas across Nairobi, Kakamega, and Busia counties on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024. The interruptions are part of planned maintenance activities aimed at improving service reliability and system efficiency.

Affected Areas and Time of Power Outages:

Nairobi County:

1. Part of Muthaiga
   • Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
   • Affected Areas: Brookside Groove, Matundu Lane, School Lane, Clarence Hotel, and surrounding customers.
2. Part of Loresho
   • Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
   • Affected Areas: University of Nairobi, Kaumoni, Loresho Primary and Secondary Schools, Shamba Café, and adjacent customers.

Kakamega County:

1. Shimanyiro
   • Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
   • Affected Areas: Otiende Estate, Joyland, Rosterman, Mukhonje, Enjinja, Eshishiru, Shibuli, Emasai Mission, Shimanyiro, Emaungu, and surrounding areas.

Busia County:

1. Part of Busia Town
   • Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
   • Affected Areas: Busia Town, Khetias, DC’s Office, County Commissioner’s Office, KPLC Office, Kisii Estate, Burumba, and nearby customers.

Customers in these areas are advised to plan accordingly as the power supply will be interrupted during the stated hours. KPLC apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures that the maintenance is essential for improving power delivery in the affected regions.
