Pastor Ezekiel reveals he pays his barber Kshs 5,000 per shave!
Pastor Ezekiel, the founder of New Life Church Prayer Center, revealed that he pays his barber Ksh 5,000 for a haircut. The reason for the high price is that the barber comes to his house to provide the service.
Ezekiel made the revelation during a church service when he was interacting with a congregant. The congregant asked him how much he pays for a haircut, and Ezekiel responded, “My barber charges me over Ksh 5,000 because he comes to my place to render the service.”
Ezekiel’s barber is not the only one who charges a premium for home visits. Barkat Ali Manji, a mobile barber in Kenya, charges Ksh 3,000-Ksh 3,500 per session. Manji converted his van into a mobile barbershop during the COVID-19 pandemic, and his clients include celebrities such as Otile Brown, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, and Nick Mutuma.
The high cost of mobile barbering is due to the convenience factor. Customers do not have to go to a physical barbershop, which can save them time and effort. Additionally, mobile barbers are often able to provide a more personalized service, as they can tailor the haircut to the customer’s specific needs.
