Nyota Ndogo’s Husband Bans Her From Speaking About Pregnancy

Kenyan singer Nyota Ndogo has confirmed that she is pregnant, but her husband, Danish businessman Henning Nielsen, has forbidden her from speaking about it to the media.

The 42-year-old singer took to social media on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, to share a photo of herself cradling her baby bump, but she did not explicitly announce her pregnancy. However, she later confirmed the news in a comment on the post.

Nyota Ndogo said that her husband had asked her to keep her pregnancy a secret until after she gives birth. She said that she respects his wishes, but she is disappointed that she cannot share her happy news with her fans.

“I’m sorry to have been quiet,” she wrote. “I’ve been busy at work cooking chapati, beans, and pilau. My cook is on vacation, so I have to get to work at 11am in the morning. Thank you for your congratulations. But please forgive me, media. My husband doesn’t want to see me on any radio, TV, or police station talking about my condition. So, I’ll only give interviews about my music, not my pregnancy. Or I won’t give any interviews until I give birth.”

Nyota Ndogo’s pregnancy is her second. She has a son from a previous relationship.
