Nyako’s New Reality: From Online Fame to Working as a Butcher in Germany

Nyako now finds herself in a drastically different situation, working at a butchery in Germany to make ends meet.

Her revelation has sparked mixed reactions online—some applauding her for finding work, while others criticize her for previously flaunting a lavish lifestyle on social media.

At the peak of her success, Nyako lived in a spacious home in Germany, often sharing videos of herself cooking in a well-equipped kitchen. She confidently spoke about her wealth, offering financial advice to women and portraying herself as a symbol of success.

The Turning Point

Nyako’s downfall began when a fellow Kenyan reported her to German authorities, alleging that she was living in government-subsidized housing despite being financially well-off. This led to her eviction, plunging her into financial instability.

Recently, she went live on TikTok, seeking help from her fans to pay rent.

“Please help me pay rent. I have been off TikTok for a few months, but I’m back. I need gifts because I have decided to provide for myself. I don’t want money from the German government.”

Shortly after, she revealed she was staying with a friend while trying to rebuild her life.

“Since morning, I’ve only had tea. I just left work, and I’m starving. I don’t have my own home yet, so I stay with a friend who barely cooks. Until I move into my own place, I have to rely on fast food.”

Finding a Job Amid Criticism

As bills piled up and skepticism grew over her financial struggles, Nyako took an unexpected step—she found a job.

“I’m working as a butcher now. I asked for rent assistance, and you saw me as useless, so I went and got a job.”

Though often overlooked, butchery work is physically demanding. It involves handling and preparing large cuts of meat, maintaining strict hygiene standards, and enduring long hours, often in cold environments.

Nyako’s Journey Over the Years

Nyako first gained online fame in 2023 following a heated feud with content creator Andrew Kibe.

Having moved to Germany in 2005 at the age of 23, she initially worked as a housemaid before securing a job as a driver at the American Military School. However, her online clashes, particularly with Europe-based Kenyan Sammy Owiya (Chokuu), led to her losing her job.

Since then, she has been a full-time content creator, even winning the Best Content Creator Award in Nyanza in 2024.

Nyako has also previously opened up about co-parenting with her children’s fathers.
