“My brother was okay with dying” Ken Oliech opens about his late brother, Kevin Oliech
Ken Oliech who is Dennis and the late Kevin Oliech’s big brother recently opened up about the life his brother lived; weeks after the young man was laid to rest in his rural home in Kisumu.
Having lost his battle to cancer, Kevin Oliech’s death indeed came as a big surprise to his family, friends; and the entire Kenyan football fraternity. However having fought the good life, Ken says his brother resting brought peace since they all knew how much pain he was in.

Speaking exclusively to the Nation, Ken who also build his life around football; went on to reveal how his brother flew to Nairobi from Germany just to be with those he loved. Ken said;

“In December, Kevo (Kevin) briefly travelled to Nairobi; met his childhood friends and intimidated. To them that his health was failing and ‘anything could happen’. It was like he was telling them goodbye.”
He had made peace with death
Having undergone the best treatment he could get in Germany; Ken Oliech says that it got to a point where his brother could no longer take the pain.
Ken went on to add that by the time his small brother took his last breath; the late Kevin Oliech had already made peace with the fact that he was going to die. Speaking about this, Ken went on to say;
He underwent chemotherapy and appeared to have improved, but suddenly his condition deteriorated. Weeks before he passed on, the doctors told us he won’t make it. My brother was okay with that decision. He told me ‘let me rest brother. I will be fine’.”
