During an interview with Anthony Ndiema on her YouTube channel, Mwende spoke highly of her former boss, describing the moment as significant. “I feel like it’s very divine. I needed to speak to the right person,” she shared. Ndiema acknowledged her growth in the media industry, noting her intentional approach to her career.

Ndiema pointed out that she seemed to be gravitating towards a political career and asked about her future beyond the media industry.

Mwende revealed that she had recently been encouraged to take the leap into politics. “Someone told me to start now, but I was still in denial. I even thought about waiting until 2032, but they asked me, ‘Why not now?’” she recounted.

The mother of two expressed her passion for leadership and service, stating, “I love leadership and servant-hood. I enjoy mentoring and championing rights. If I can serve through politics, I wouldn’t mind.”

Leaving Her Job

Addressing her exit from her previous role, she and Ndiema shared a lighthearted moment, laughing about the challenges of working together. Ndiema admitted that managing her could be difficult, to which Mwende agreed.

She then explained that financial difficulties at the company had led to tough decisions. “There were payment issues, and we had to ask difficult questions. I found myself at the forefront, advocating for change,” she revealed.
