Murugi Munyi opens up about dealing with hubby’s departure

Digital content creator and entrepreneur Murugi Munyi has opened up about how she is dealing with her husband’s long-distance travel. Zach, who relocated to the UK for work, left recently, which seems to have thrown his wife into a sad state.

Murugi shared a video of herself looking all sad and grumpy while listening to a sad song. The video read, “POV: your husband leaves for another stint of long distance and you don’t feel absolute hopelessness and despair,” accompanied by the hit song “You’ll Get Over it” by Nuu, Shawnii, and Xeni.

In the video, Murugi revealed that she had cried all the way from their house to the airport. She also stated the drive back home was the hardest as that is when it really hit her that she was truly on her own now.

Murugi went on to highlight more details on how she was handling Zach’s trip back to the UK. She said that one of their biggest challenges is the time difference. “It’s hard to have a conversation when he’s asleep when I’m awake, and vice versa,” she said.

Murugi also said that she misses her husband’s physical presence. “It’s not the same just talking to him on the phone or video chat,” she said. “I miss being able to hug him, kiss him, and just be in his presence.”

Despite the challenges, Murugi said that she is determined to make her long-distance relationship work. “We love each other and we’re committed to making this work,” she said. “We’ll figure it out.”
