Mungai Eve: Having Multiple Partners Is Unsanitary

Mungai Eve and Liz Jackson explored a range of topics in their latest podcast episode titled *Hey Girl*.

The two discussed issues such as body shaming, dating, and marriage, with Mungai Eve expressing her strong opposition to having multiple partners. “You shouldn’t go around boasting that you are sleeping with multiple people,” she stated, emphasizing her disdain for the idea.

Eve also criticized the concept of “kugongewa,” which revolves around seeking revenge after a partner cheats, and expressed discomfort with how such notions are promoted on social media platforms like TikTok. “I’ve been watching people glorify sleeping around with different partners, and I find it especially strange for women. I believe a lady shouldn’t boast about being with multiple people; it feels disgusting. Is that really an achievement?” she questioned.

She further asserted, “Having multiple partners is unhygienic and dirty,” preferring instead a monogamous relationship before moving on to someone new. “I don’t want to be biased, but I think if you’re a girl on TikTok glorifying kugongewa and sleeping around with men, it’s dirty and unhygienic.”

Eve reflected on her past relationship with Director Trevor, from which she broke up earlier this year after they had developed both a working and dating relationship since they met in 2020. “I wouldn’t want to talk much about it, but I can say it was the result of many factors. I knew it was coming; it was meant to end,” she explained.

When asked by Andrew Kibe if she was the one cheating, Eve responded, “You might be wrong or right.” On February 19, Director Trevor announced their breakup, stating that Eve was no longer part of his production team and rebranded the “Mungai Eve” YouTube channel to “Kenya Online Media,” declaring that her services “are no longer needed.”
