MP in court after allegedly stealing a fridge, Unga and cooking oil

Matuga MP Kassim Ali Sawa was arraigned in court for steal and destroying property worth millions that belonged to Riziq Fundi Bakari.

The MP was accused of stealing a freezer, refrigerator, 35 plastic chairs, counter table, 20 cooking oil jerrycans, 20 bundles of wheat flour, computer, television set, welding toolbox, a phone and a locker, valued at Ksh850, 000.

Sawa is said to have destroyed property that was valued to almost a million shillings on October 17 2009. He appeared before Mombasa Senior Principal Magistrate Francis Kyambia.
