Mjengo laborer’s melodic voice lands him major recording deal with veteran producer Tim Rimbui (Video)
Where there is talent, opportunities come knocking, a living testimony for one Jamsta, a manual laborer whose voice has caught the attention of netizens and one Kenyan acclaimed producer.
Going by the name Jamsta Earl, he works at construction sites to afford a day’s meals but when he’s off duty, his voice is a powerhouse on its own.
A pretty humbled guy who believed his day would come, however long it would take;
“My life is a story, and God himself is the Author..” he once tweeted.
You’d probably call him a part time comedian going by his Twitter profile, but his authenticity and faith are at a whole different level.
Exceptional talent
On a random day, Jamsta whose dad keeps mocking him for having too many followers but zero girlfriend, decided to sing to the girl of his dreams.

No keyboard, no drum-sets, not even a studio, Jamsta did it right at the mjengo where he works, his tools of work in hand and his phone well placed to capture the moment.
“Gotta hustle. And still wanna search for the ‘GIRL OF MY DREAMS'” he expressed.

0£ for you to retweet😃🙂 pic.twitter.com/Y80YjEpigW— 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥 (@JamstaMusic) August 17, 2020
Unknown to him, his tweet attracted well over 1.9 k retweets and Kenyan seasoned music producer Tim ‘Timwork’ Rimbui came across the hidden talent, tweeting;
Brathe. Look for me we record something, your great voice can open some doors and secure you a bag.. Nitafute.
I bet the rest will be history in a short while. However, Rimbui’s retweet was not warmly welcomed by the mass with a section believing the producer had hidden intentions while others urged Jamsta to grab the chance and run with it.
