Mike Muchiri Responds to Online Criticism
Muchiri removed most of his images and videos from social media following widespread criticism.
He became a trending topic as netizens questioned his lifestyle, with some referencing a particular photo of him wearing a red crop top.
Addressing the situation, Muchiri emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself.
“There are only two people whose pride truly matters to me—the child I once was and the elder I will become. One, full of hope, wondering if I would ever chase the dreams that set my heart racing. The other, weathered and wise, hoping I made choices that brought me peace. I searched for the truth about life, only to realize it had always been within me, waiting to be acknowledged. The child I once was is still here, watching, waiting to see if I will be brave enough to pursue the dreams I once believed in. That was the only truth I ever needed to face.”

Muchiri went on to share his personal journey of self-reflection:
“Facing myself in my rawest form was not easy. I had to confront parts of me I had buried—my fears, wounds, repeated patterns, and abandoned dreams. I did not meet them to fix them, but to understand them. And in that understanding, I found a quiet kind of love. I looked at my fears, wounds, patterns, and deeply buried beliefs and said, ‘I see you.'”
Moving forward, Muchiri vowed to be kinder to himself and encouraged others to do the same.
“I no longer wish to rush through life chasing illusions of worth. I choose to slow down, to embrace fleeting moments, to love fully, to laugh deeply, and to truly live rather than just survive. I will continue meeting my shadow with compassion, stop living from old wounds, and start creating from wholeness. Every part of me—the hesitant, the bold, the broken, the healing, the unstoppable—is worthy of being seen.”
His message to others?
“If you’re reading this, I hope you see yourself too. In the end, it was never about perfection—it was about truth. About making the child proud and giving the elder peace.”
On the morning of March 13, 2025, Muchiri’s fans discovered that he had deleted all his content from social media, leaving only three photos on his Instagram page—including the widely discussed image of him in a red T-shirt.
