Man’s Body Found in Nairobi River

Authorities in Nairobi are investigating the death of a man whose body was found floating in the Nairobi River near the Globe Cinema roundabout.

The man’s identity has not been released, and it is not clear how long he had been in the water. The Nairobi County fire brigade was called to the scene to help retrieve the body.

Preliminary observations by the police did not reveal any obvious signs of physical injury, but the cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. The police believe that the body may have been dumped at the scene.

This is not the first time that a body has been found in the Nairobi River near the Globe Cinema roundabout. In December 2022, former Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip was attacked and robbed at the roundabout. He was found bleeding by police officers and taken to hospital for treatment.

The police are asking anyone with information about the man’s death to come forward. They are also urging people to be careful when walking near the Nairobi River, as it is a dangerous area.
