Man who was found dead hours before wedding to be buried today

Fred Gitau, a 35-year-old evangelist who was to be married on August 26, was found dead in his house in Kahawa Sukari, Kiambu County, on August 25.

Gitau was found dead with foam oozing from his mouth. The house was locked from the inside.

The police were called to the scene and forced to use a young boy to get to the deceased’s house through the window.

The body was taken to the Kiambu County Referral Hospital for a post-mortem.

A close family relative said that Gitau had texted his sister on Thursday evening to say that his life was in danger. The relative said that the police had been informed about the message.

Gitau was a prayer warrior at Deliverance Church and never drank alcohol. He was on the verge of becoming a pastor.

The police are investigating the cause of death.

The funeral will be held on Friday, September 1, in Mwea Kirinyaga County.
