Finding Strength in Faith
Azziad also shared a video of herself lip-syncing to Judy Kay’s gospel song Capable God, reinforcing her faith during this period. The song speaks about trusting in God’s unwavering support.
Additionally, she posted a Bible verse, Isaiah 30:21: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” This suggested that she is leaning on her spirituality to navigate challenges.
Debt Allegations Surface
The controversy surrounding Azziad began when blogger Edgar Obare shared claims from alleged friends accusing the TikTok star of borrowing large sums of money without repayment.
One source alleged that Azziad took a loan of Ksh400,000, promising to return it within three days, but months had passed without reimbursement. Attempts to contact her had reportedly been unsuccessful.
Obare also released alleged audio recordings of Azziad admitting to financial and emotional struggles, expressing deep regret over the situation.
These claims emerged weeks after Azziad publicly revealed she had checked herself into a mental health facility in December 2024. She disclosed spending two weeks there to focus on her emotional well-being and had taken a break from social media.
Fans Stand by Azziad
Despite the accusations, many of her supporters have defended her, urging empathy and understanding.
They pointed out that financial struggles are common, emphasizing that Azziad, like anyone else, does not deserve public shaming. Whether the allegations are true or not, fans believe she should be allowed to navigate her challenges without undue scrutiny.
