Lion Den’s tycoon Olive Gachara drawn into models saga started by Sauti Sol
The plight of models was highlighted when Sauti Sol offered food and exposure as incentive to models who were to feature in their new video.
Kenyans came out to condemn the music group for exploiting models for their own benefit. More models have since stepped forth to expose people who are exploiting them.
City tycoon Olive Gachara was also confronted about not paying models. Gachara has invested heavily in fashion industry, she is the brain child and editor-in-chief of Couture Africa Magazine.
Disgruntled models confronted Olive Gachara on twitter over unpaid wages. They claimed they had worked for her Couture Africa company but were not paid for their services.
No malice
Olive Gachara acknowledges that her company has delayed paying models. The Lion’s Den tycoon however asserts that the delay was not out of malice or discrimination.
“All delayed payments made to @coutureafrica talent have not been out of malice nor discrimination and the magazine is committed to refining our payment structures,” Olive Gachara tweeted.
