LGBTQ influencer Brian Chira says he wants Vera Sidika’s crown

Popular Kenyan TikToker Brian Chira has explained why he prefers to perform his English-language comedy on the platform.

The third-year Kabarak College student from Nakuru claimed that he had started producing Kikuyu language movies in the past, but they had never received much attention.

However, when he attempted to perform in English, the response was positive—at least until some of his supporters urged him to carry on because they pointed out that he is a native speaker.

“I became famous after appearing on TV as a drunken witness to an accident and later when I was trending I started doing that to show them that this is the guy you saw on TV. From there, I have been making several videos, in English because people tell me I am fluent in English. I used to do Kikuyu comedy but it didn’t have a big reception,”

Despite claims from many that he frequently appears inebriated in his TikTok videos, Chira vehemently refuted this claim, claiming that while many people do perceive him as drunk, this is simply his condition.

Chira clarified that while it is true that he occasionally consumes alcohol, many people have already formed an image of him when they hear his name discussed.

Chira claimed that his motivation for acting in comedy videos on TikTok is because his desire is to become a prominent socialite in the nation.
