Lady reveals how witness-in-chief tricked her in marriage while posing as president Uhuru’s bodyguard
Witness-in-chief Dennis Muigai Ngengi has been leading a double life. Ngengi who is now a guest of the state has been further exposed by the people he tricked.
Ngengi shot to fame when he ‘witnessed’ Lake Nakuru chopper crash and the grisly accident that killed Nyeri governor Wahome Gakuru.
The witness-in-chief was arrested after police discovered that he was a criminal. Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro says Ngengi’s official name is Charles Karanja.
Ngengi has been using several names to con unsuspecting Kenyans. He has been using the names; Alex Musyoka, Martin Githaiga, Martin Mutangilu, Francis Theuri, Charles Karanja Mwangi, Anthony Waweru and Francis Karanja Mwaniki.
Ngengi’s ex wife spills the beans
Police interviewed Ngengi’s ex wife Damaris Karuitha who revealed more details about the imposter. Damaris says witness-in-chief is a pathological liar who tricked her into marriage.
She explains that Ngengi told her he was a member of the security team working for president Uhuru Kenyatta. Damaris only left the imposter when she found out the truth.
Several other people associated to Ngengi have also interrogated by detectives. They all say that witness-in-chief always claims that he is a close ally of the president.
