KRG The Don Reveals He Is Set To Vie For A Political Seat In 2027
Kenyan singer KRG The Don has revealed his political aspirations, aiming for a Member of Parliament seat in the upcoming general election.
During an interview on TV47’s “This Friday with Betty,” KRG shared his ambitions while keeping his target constituency under wraps. He explained that revealing his chosen area too early might overwhelm him with requests from potential constituents.
“I want to start with being an MP, but I won’t disclose the constituency yet,” he said. “I don’t want people to panic or expect me to solve their personal problems right away. If they know where I’m running, they might bombard me with calls and requests because I’m KRG The Don.”
The singer emphasized strategic planning, stating that successful people have a clear vision. “There’s a plan,” he revealed. “It’s like a puzzle. I know what steps I need to take this year, next year, and so on.”

Winning the election would mean a shift in focus for KRG. “Once I’m in office, I’ll step back from music and business,” he explained. “My children will take care of those while I serve the public.”
KRG expressed confidence in his political prospects, highlighting his ongoing groundwork. This aligns with a trend of Kenyan celebrities entering politics. In April 2023, he was among several entertainers welcomed to the ruling United Democratic Party.
