Khalif Kairo reveals how he lost custody of his son to his ex-girlfriend

Entrepreneur Khalif Kairo became a father at 21, an age when many young people have children without fully understanding the responsibilities involved. He credits fatherhood for making him wiser and more focused on his hustle.

In an interview with Lynn Ngugi, Khalif admitted that while he made mistakes along the way, his child has been the driving force behind the man he is today. However, he recently shared on his X platform that his 6-year-old son has been living with his ex-girlfriend, who is also his child’s mother, after he lost a custody battle in court.

Although Khalif didn’t explain why he took the matter to court, it’s likely that since he was financially supporting his son, he felt entitled to custody. He later realized that financial stability alone isn’t enough to win custody over a mother who is capable of caring for the child.

Reflecting on the experience, Khalif expressed regret, saying he would never go to court over child custody again, acknowledging how emotionally exhausting it was for both him and his son.

“One thing I swore as a man I would never do again is go to court over child custody. I’d rather have razor blades and acid for breakfast. Those battles are harmful to the well-being of kids. Move on, avoid the drama, and focus on self-improvement,” he shared on X.
