Khalif Kairo Re-Arrested – What We Know So Far
Flamboyant businessman Joseph Kairo Wambui, popularly known as Khalif Kairo, found himself in legal trouble once again after being arrested over the weekend. The arrest, carried out on Saturday, led to his detention at Capitol Hill Police Station.
The incident involved a brief scuffle and heated exchange, during which Kairo was heard confronting the officers.
Business Deal Gone Wrong
Kairo’s latest arrest revolves around allegations of defrauding a client. The businessman, who has faced numerous challenges recently, allegedly failed to deliver a vehicle that the client had fully paid for. After weeks of waiting and unsatisfactory explanations from Kairo, the client lost patience.

In a video recorded during the arrest, Kairo is heard accusing the police of harassment while requesting more time to resolve the matter.
“It’s not a fight. You’re not going to harass me. Just wait and let me sort this out,” Kairo is heard saying.
A police officer, however, dismissed his complaints, reminding him that he was not the first person to be brought to the station and warning him against causing unnecessary drama.
“Stop the nonsense! Do you think you’re the first person to come here? I have clients in my office, and I won’t allow this behavior. We deal with people properly here,” the officer retorted.
Claimed Plan to Travel to New York
Reports suggest that Kairo attempted to appease the client by promising a refund, claiming he needed to travel to New York to secure the funds. However, the explanation failed to satisfy the client, resulting in his arrest.
Previous Arrest
This is not Kairo’s first brush with the law. Just last month, he was arrested over a similar issue involving the failure to deliver a luxury vehicle valued at Sh26 million. Despite the controversies, Kairo has maintained that such challenges are a normal part of doing business.
