Kenyan digital creator and entrepreneur Khalif Kairo has come forward to support the newly appointed cabinet secretary for defense, replacing Aden Duale. In a statement on his social media platform, Kairo defended Soipan, emphasizing her qualifications and leadership experience, urging against dismissing her based on gender.

“I’ve taken the time to learn about Soipan’s journey, Kwa Nation. This woman has successfully defended her parliamentary seat twice over a decade. Prior to that, she practiced law; her mother served as a councilor, and her father was an MP. Yet, we are quick to judge and undermine. Today, you criticize her as if she’s overachieved,”
