Keri Hilson after driving around Nairobi: I love the stuffs being sold on the side of the roads
American singer Keri Hilson landed in Kenya on Tuesday and is expected to to perform on Friday night during the Terminal Music Weekend.
In an interview with SDE, the singer shared her time so far in Kenya, confessing that she hasn’t seen much yet but she has fallen in love with the things that are being sold on the road side.
“How has been your experience so far in Kenya?” she was asked.
“This is my first day. we landed late at night so I woke up to what looks like I don’t know jungle like very beautiful wooded area I guess we drove all the way here to Kenya High School from our hotel so all I know is that it’s really beautiful and that the stuff that is being sold on the side of the road is really beautiful and the kids, their energy and their spirit. It really almost brought me to tears,” she answered.
On meeting or working with Kenyan artists, the singer shared that she hasn’t met any but is hoping she’ll get a chance to meet a few.
“I am learning about the Kenyan artists. I will meet them starting tomorrow, so I am not sure if I’m familiar with them, because I meet artists but they’re from different places when I perform in these countries so I’m not sure which of them are Kenyan yet, but I’m sure I’m gonna be familiar with a couple, but I’ll meet them later in the trip and get to see them perform.” she said.
