Karangu Muraya Issues Emotional Public Apology to Estranged Wife Triza Njeri at Album Launch
Social media personality and gospel singer Karangu Muraya has publicly apologised to his estranged wife, Triza Njeri, after months of highly publicised marital turbulence.
The emotional moment unfolded on April 27 at Triza’s album launch, held at the Blue Springs Hotel along Thika Road. Karangu’s surprise appearance electrified the audience, many eager to witness the couple’s first public interaction since Triza announced their separation.
When invited on stage, Karangu seized the opportunity to seek forgiveness. Addressing both Triza and the crowd, he vowed to never again speak ill of her and pledged to support her future endeavours — a gesture aimed at mending wounds Triza had previously said contributed to their fallout.
“Before I say anything else, I want to first say that I am very sorry,” Karangu said.
“I ask for your forgiveness because when I went to these in-laws’ home, they welcomed me. If there are issues I will never discuss, even if pushed, it is those concerning Triza. I know where we have come from because I have a brain.”
He also appealed to his close friends — Baby Top, Wanja, and Esther — urging them to respect his decision to keep matters involving Triza private, citing the history they shared.
Karangu reflected on the impact their separation had on their children, hinting at the emotional burden they carried.
“I have been with these kids, and while I will not reveal what they have told me, I know very well what they need,” he said.
He closed his heartfelt message with a powerful affirmation:
“Triza, I want to let you know that I respect you, I love you, and I wish you success in all your endeavours.”
The album launch was attended by several prominent figures, including musician Samidoh, politician Karen Nyamu, and entertainers Wanja Asali and Wanja Nyayari — all showing support for Triza’s new musical chapter.
Throughout his speech, Karangu emphasised that there was no competition between them, stating:
“I want God to make you shine. To those who said I could not afford to take Triza to the studio, just know that God’s timing is the best. Triza, you are going to sing a lot; you are going to be rich. May my God be your God.”
In a show of support, Karangu stepped onto the stage with bundles of cash, announcing donations from himself and friends, including Dama wa Mobile Spares and Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika. He contributed KSh 200,000 personally, helping raise a total of KSh 730,000 for Triza’s project.
The event took an even more emotional turn when Karangu brought along their three children — Emmanuel, Victor, and Esther — who had not seen their mother since she left their family home in Gatundu.
Tears and cheers filled the venue as Triza embraced her children warmly, followed by a rare, heartfelt hug between her and Karangu, moving many in the audience.
The children then addressed the crowd, with Emmanuel impressing with his eloquent English, expressing love for his parents and siblings. Victor followed with a brief but touching greeting, and young Esther shyly introduced herself, winning the hearts of all present.
The deeply emotional reunion and Karangu’s public apology have drawn widespread praise online, with many netizens and close friends expressing hope that the family can continue to heal and possibly reconcile for the sake of their children.
