Former Kiss FM broadcaster Kamene Goro claims that she was not let go by Kiss but instead departed on her own in an interview with Lily Aisha on Tuko Extra.

She claims that her declining health and growing disinterest in her job were the main factors in her decision to leave.

The MC goes on to claim that she was incredibly relieved the day she quit her radio job.

Lily Aisha: “What were you feeling when you left the radio?”

Kamene Goro:  I wasn’t loving what I was doing anymore, and for me am set in my ways, I do everything that I do from passion and love, and the moment that purpose is not met I start to hate it.”

The former host went on to remark that she detested being in a situation where she began to dislike something she had once cherished greatly.

” I was in a position where I dislike something that I used to love.”

She also admits that due to her exhaustion, she wanted to leave before the day her contract expired but was persuaded to stay by others.

It got so severe, according to her, that every morning, her husband Dj Bonez would accompany her to the morning show, and she would cry on the way there because she felt she couldn’t handle it.

She would take approximately 12 minutes to leave after the show and fall asleep in the car to feel better.

The interviewer continues by asking her what her greatest fear is or was as she was leaving the station.

As most of her fans were her listeners, Kamene admitted that she was concerned about losing her brand.

“Were you fired or did you leave?”

Kamene responded saying: “My contract was due 28/29 of January and the previous year in December Clare called me to talk about my contract renewal and I said that I didn’t intend on renewing my contract. I told him that I am not enjoying the job that I am doing anymore, it’s starting to weigh down on my health,”
