Kamene Goro describes her marriage as ‘still in the experimental phase’ after one year
NRG radio presenter Kamene Goro recently opened up about her marriage to DJ Bonez in a YouTube video.
“I’ve been married for about a year now. I thought it would feel different, but it hasn’t really. It feels like extended dating. We don’t stop dating each other, and we’ve become good friends, which is something you need to look out for,” Kamene explained.

She also cautioned her fans about being too quick to fall for just any man and advised them on choosing a partner for marriage.
“Don’t be falling for these guys you meet out here… The guy you put in the friend zone is probably the one you’ll spend the rest of your life with. I’m just saying,” she advised.
Kamene revealed that she is still taking her relationship day by day.
“But I’m still in the experimental phase, so we are going to walk through that stage one day at a time,” she said.

Reflecting on her past, Kamene shared about her first marriage to a Tanzania-based South African tycoon, which ended in October 2020.
In 2014, she quit her job at Ebru TV to move to Tanzania and become a housewife at the age of 23/24. Despite being passionate about her new role, the marriage lasted only a year before her husband dumped her over the phone while she was visiting family in Nairobi.
Kamene expressed the pain of sacrificing her job and dreams, feeling betrayed by the sudden end of her marriage. She emphasized the importance of normalizing heartbreak and failure, recognizing them as part of life that can ultimately lead to success.
