The holiday falls on the 10th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. This year, Eid-Ul-Adha is expected to fall on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
In the gazette notice, Kindiki said that the public holiday was being declared in accordance with the Public Holidays Act. He also said that all government offices and schools would be closed on that day.
