Joy Doreen Biira quits KTN for a new job at government Ministry
Joy Doreen Biira has joined the ever growing list of journalists leaving media for plum government jobs. The former KTN anchor has joined a government ministry.
Joy Doreen Biira has taken up a new job with the Ministry of Mining. The Ugandan journalist is said to have quit her job at KTN towards the end of last year.
Doreen worked for KTN for five years as a reporter and anchor. She joined the Mombasa Road-based media house from Capital FM where she worked for four years as Breakfast Show host.
New ministry job
Doreen now serves as the advisor, strategic communications at the Ministry of Mining in Kenya. She quietly made the transition from media to the ministry late last year.
Several prominent journalists have left media for government jobs. Last week former KTN reporter Carol Nderi quit her job to when she landed a lucrative job in Nyeri county government.
