Jimal Rohosafi Shares Honest Perspective on Alma Mutheu’s Romantic Life
Kenyan businessman Jimal Rohosafi has called on men to take responsibility and cater to their women’s financial needs instead of relying on them for support.
Jimal’s remarks came in response to a viral interview with TikToker Alma Mutheu, who expressed frustration with her boyfriend, Gift Muziq, for failing to provide financially. According to Jimal, many women in Kenya endure financially dependent partners to maintain appearances.

“Mambo ya wanaume kuwekwa si geni jijini. I support Alma. Mwanume ni bills, not cost-sharing. I know a lot of female celebrities here in Kenya wameweka wanaume in the name of brand and face, but deep down they are broken,” Jimal said.
Alma’s Frustrations with Gift
In the interview with Oga Obinna, Alma revealed her disappointment at being the primary provider in her relationship.
“I met Gift while I was still an influencer. Love won. Many people advised me to leave him, but I loved him. He is my man, so I decided to give him a chance. But it has reached a point where he is still looking,” she shared.
When asked if she was still in love, Alma clarified:
“I was in love. I have not stopped being in love, so don’t get me wrong. He supports me by helping me shoot content for free. I even offered to pay him, but he refused. In the second year of dating, we started having a lot of arguments because of financial issues.”
Alma also disclosed that the couple agreed to share costs for household expenses.

“He buys food sometimes. He came to my place, and from there, we agreed to cost-share because I cannot pay for everything. It gets to a certain point as a woman where you get tired of doing everything. It’s not easy.
But you cannot stay with someone for two years and still be providing as a woman. As a woman, I want to be taken care of.”
Gift’s Response
Defending himself, Gift acknowledged Alma’s support and motivation.
“People will talk, but no one knows where Alma and I have come from. One thing I love about her is that she is very supportive. The fact that she pushes me is not something I take negatively,” he said.
Oga Obinna’s Appeal
Oga Obinna weighed in, urging Kenyans not to judge Alma harshly for speaking her truth.
“Do not be hard on Alma. She is sharing her truth about her man. They have been dating for two years, so she knows what she’s talking about. She hadn’t had an avenue to express it before, but see God. Just appreciate it and do better,” Obinna concluded.
