Jacque Maribe’s just unveiled political show to give Anne Kiguta’s Punchline a run for her money (Video)
The trend has been, once a journalist is shown the exit door from a media house, you either start your own venture or unapologetically make a massive comeback on our screens.
Jacque Maribe was forced to exit Citizen TV in July 2019, months after getting implicated in the murder of businesswoman, Monica Kimani that saw her ex-fiance Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu serve a 16-month jail term.
Ever since the case seemingly died down, Jacque has kept her life on the low, no clue what her plan B is or whether her career would ever stand on its feet again. Reports were rife she was eyeing the Murang’a Women rep seat but she never came out to clarify nor deny.

Comeback
After the long wait, she is back, this time making it political. Bouncing back like a wounded lioness who still has to fend for her cubs, what makes it different is the thick skin the wounds have grown in you overtime.
Through a teaser video, the TV girl announced her comeback on our screens promising raw conversations, political affiliations and in-depth inspiration.

Something that you love doing so much…it’s been a roller-coaster this past year, trying to take it all in, trying to smile when you know you can’t.
Amidst it all, she grow stronger, better and wiser.
But instead of allowing yourself to be down, you know what to do, you get back up and you take it by the horns!
A online political show dubbed Hot Seat, with Sarah Mwangi among those behind the show’s production set to kick off Sunday 8pm and her fans cannot keep calm.
Vs Anne Kiguta
What makes it interesting is how it will air an hour before Kiguta’s Punchline show on K24, probably taking up a good share of the Kenyan audience.
Kiguta was the last standing journalist spared during the mass firing at K24 in July 2020.
