“It has not been easy!” BBC journalist Ciru Muriuki preps for third surgery
Broadcast journalist, Ciru Muriuki is set to undergo her third surgery to curb the growth and severe effects of endometriosis.
The former NTV The Trend host had had a previous surgery in 2018, that went successful and saw her recover amidst intense pain.
Currently, the vocal radio presenter is prepping for a third one, in news she announced through her social media page.
Lying in bed, with a tube inserted in her right hand, the Endo warrior could still afford a genuine smile.
She wrote:
Hae So much. So I’m back in hospital for my THIRD surgery. This journey with endometriosis has not been easy. On the bright side my skin is popping. We thank God. ????
Despite the feeling that only she understands, the TV girl opts to look at the bright side and soldier on.

In 2017, Ciru opened up about battling endometriosis in silence with her fears probably being stigmatization.
After her surgery, the former NTV journalist revealed she have been suffering in silence.
But through fellow journalist and Endo warrior, Njambi Koikai – who defied the odds and gave a voice to women battling the same condition or even worse – a dear Ciru braved up.
Late 2018, Ms Ciru stated her hope was that the surgery she had just undergone, was going to alleviate her chronic pain.
Endometriosis is the abnormal growth of cells (endometrial cells) similar to those that form the inside of the uterus, but in a location outside of the uterus.
It can cause pain — sometimes severe — especially during your period. Fertility problems also may develop.
