When life gives you lemons, you can only make lemonade out of them. Something that Marya Prude Ngami, Willis Raburu’s ex embraced until it struck her that she can no longer hide the fact that she was hurting.

Taking to her gram, the ravishing beauty described her pain like “a stab wound to the heart”. A pain she wishes no one has to go through in their lifetime.

But being humans, pain might have to be an uncomfortable part of our journeys. She learnt, through pain, that “there can be beauty, tenderness and freedom when healing”.

Pain feels like a fast stab wound to the heart. But then healing feels like the wind against your face when you are spreading your wings and flying through the air!

Healing had swept away her despair, her tears, her longings and instead shone a light that guided her through to the next phase. Even though not everyone might have the wings growing out of their backs, healing is a process that needs to be embraced to overcome the pain.

We may not have wings growing out of our backs, but healing is the closest thing that will give us that wind against our faces.
