“I Was Heartbroken Ten Times” – Stevo Simple Boy Explains Why He Plans to Start Dating Again in 2026

Kenya’s rising star, Stevo Simple Boy, recently opened up about a painful past relationship where he was cheated on 10 times, prompting his decision to remain single until 2026.

Speaking with content creator President Law on January 13, 2024, Stevo described the relationship as his worst experience, explaining how the repeated betrayal deeply affected him.

“Yes, a woman has cheated on me. I’ve been cheated on ten times. Ee, niligongewa mara kumi. I’ve sworn off relationships until 2026,” he revealed.

The Freshi Barida hitmaker shared that dishonesty in relationships is something he cannot tolerate, stating it hurts him deeply when someone he loves cheats. He also lamented the difficulty of finding loyal partners in today’s dating scene.

“These days, faithful women are hard to find. Let me stay single,” Stevo said, affirming his decision to focus on himself.

Loyalty and Qualities in a Partner

When discussing what he values in a relationship, Stevo noted that loyalty is his top priority but declined to disclose his ideal type, saying it has not helped him in the past. He added that he would never stay in a relationship with infidelity, emphasizing that he walks away when trust is broken.

“Siwezi sema type yangu ya mwanamke juu hata nikisema hawatakuja. Kama mtu hasemi nasepa,” he said.

On loyalty, Stevo humorously mentioned that he sees it in simple actions, such as a woman cooking and washing for him, drawing laughter from the interviewer.

Stevo also recalled a particularly heartbreaking experience where a woman he was dating pretended to be single while she was already in a relationship. Though he did not reveal her identity, he described it as the most disappointing moment of his love life.

In a separate interview with YouTuber Trudy Kitui, Stevo disclosed that his ex-girlfriend, Grace Atieno, had a child with another man while they were still together. He recounted how he learned the truth just before she gave birth.

“Tulikuwa sawa hapo mbele. We were living together. Then, someone called me and told me the baby isn’t mine. Mtoto si wangu,” he said.

Despite these challenges, Stevo remains optimistic about the future and is focused on his music career, recently expressing interest in collaborating with First Daughter Charlene Ruto.
