‘I decided to stop crying over what had failed,’ Ruth Matete forced to leave her company and resign as CEO
TPF champion winner Ruth Matete is one sad lady after a company she formed has seen her step off and resign as the CEO.
According to a post she shared on social media, Matete is no longer the CEO of Ruth Matete Music Academy which she helped start after her celebrated win.
Time to walk away
The company was started by the singer and her friends to help budding musicians in Kenya. Her stepping off from the company could mean a huge legal battle is on the way since her old partners are still using her name.
Here is what she said.
“However, things did not work out as we had agreed and after some consultation here and there, I opted out of the partnership.
On 25th of July 2017, I officially resigned as the CEO of Ruth Matete Music Academy. It was a long, hard and painful period, as I had to start all over again. I felt like I had failed. In November 2017, I decided to stop crying over what had failed and focus on building.
Like they say, holding on sometimes hurts more than letting go
She added:
“To cut the long story short, I am now at Goshom Music School. Doing what I love. Helping people achieve their dreams in music, through nurturing and training them in their God given talents.. Through God’s grace we have started and growing.
This post is to notify you my client, fan and friend, that I am no longer at Ruth Matete Music Academy. I am still working things out to ensure that my name is removed from the business being that am no longer a partner in the said business. I covet your prayers.”
