“I am not involved in the unfortunate events” Jacque Maribe’s friend Terryanne Chebet sets the record straight about police summon
Three other journalists have been summoned for interrogation in relation to Monica Kimani’s murder. According to the Nation, police are seeking the statements of a radio presenter, a TV director, and news presenter.
The journalists in question have been rumored to be Jacque’s close friends Fanaka TV CEO Terryanne Chebet, Hot 96 Presenter Shix Kapyenga and Citizen Tv’s News Director Monica Kiragu.

I’ve not been summoned
Terryanne Chebet has come out to deny claims that she has been summoned by the DCI. She clarified that she hadn’t received any summoned though she highly anticipates that she will be called upon as a character witness due to her closeness to Jacque.
“Good morning guys, it has come to my attention that I have been allegedly summoned by DCI in connection to my friend Jacqui’s arrest. First I would like clarify that DCI has not reached out to me and I have only read about it online. While I am not involved in the unfortunate events, I understand that by virtue of being Jacqui’s friend, I may be called upon as a character witness. Should I be called upon, I am available,” wrote Terryanne Chebet.
11 more days
Meanwhile Jacque Maribe will be spending 11 more days in police custody. Kiambu Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku allowed police to detain Jacque to facilitate further investigation.
