Homeboyz Radio Says Goodbye to Kerry Martin After 9 Years

Popular radio personality Kerry Martin has hung up his mic at Homeboyz Radio after a successful nine-year run.

Martin announced his departure during his final show on Thursday, May 9th, expressing his gratitude to his fans and colleagues for their support.

“It’s been an amazing nine years at Homeboyz Radio,” Martin said. “Today is bittersweet as it’s my last day on the Boyz Club and at the station. I’ll miss you all, but stay tuned, you haven’t seen the last of me!”

Since joining Homeboyz in 2015, Martin became a fixture on the drive-time show, entertaining listeners alongside co-hosts like Lotan Salapei and Mike Wachira.

Interestingly, Martin’s path to broadcasting took an unexpected turn from his initial career in aviation. Prior to his radio days, he served as a flight attendant with Kenya Airways, showcasing his adaptability and willingness to pursue his passion.

Beyond radio, Martin is also a recognized podcaster with the Box Pod alongside Joyce Maina and Kiss FM presenter Kwambox. Notably, Kwambox is rumored to be departing Kiss FM herself after a short stint, suggesting a time of change for both media personalities.

Martin’s talents extend far beyond the radio booth. He’s a successful influencer, events MC, and voice-over artist, solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted media personality.

Martin’s departure coincides with the highly anticipated arrival of the new radio duo, Mwalimu Rachel and DJ Exclusive, at Radio Africa. While their specific show remains unconfirmed, speculation suggests they may take over the coveted morning slot currently held by Kwambox and Chito Ndhlovu on Kiss FM.
