Grass To Grace- Terence Creative Reminisces Growing Up As A ‘Chokoraa’
Comedian & YouTuber Lawrence Macharia, alias Terence Creative has made it big in the comic industry over recent years and there’s no doubt he’s one of the best in the game. As his name suggests, the fella is indeed Creative in his skits, and some like ‘Wash Wash’ content went viral beyond his expectations.
Terence Creative’s Early Life
The jester’s success has been gradual over the years, with his wife giving him immense support. However, Terence was a vagabond during his earlier life. Opening up about the same via his Instagram, he shared heart-touching details on his struggles as he celebrated his birthday. Part of his message read;
”I was about 13 a chokora when I walked into St Teresa’s girls (Eastleigh) they have a hall there,there was a wedding and I just went to the kitchen bin to look for remnants(mabakisho) only to meet one of my aunts doing the dishes,she is the one who took this photo…
He also shared a picture of his grandmother who raised him and captioned;
”That’s my grandma who took me in after my mum had given birth to me,she hustled so much to make sure I go to school and have food,in this photo I had visited her in MLANGO kubwa – Mathare before moving her to lower Kabete then start building for her. keep resting queen (Sekereti)…’
