Gospel Singer Mwana Mtule Faces Unexpected Bill, Seeks Support For Discharge
Gospel singer Alpha Mwana Mtule is facing a setback in his recovery after Kenyatta National Hospital presented him with a Sh450,000 bill before discharge. This comes as a surprise to the singer, who has already received Sh462,000 in contributions from kindhearted Kenyans after suffering poisoning at a party.
Despite the initial support, Mwana Mtule remains hospitalized and unable to leave until the full amount is settled. He shared his plea for assistance on Instagram, reaching out to the public for help in raising the remaining Sh18,000 needed for his release.
His appeal resonated with comedian Eric Omondi, who joined the call for support, urging Kenyans to help reunite Mwana Mtule with his family.
The popular singer, known for his mimicry of DJ Afro, explained that he was hired to perform at an event in Rongai before suffering the poisoning. He received treatment in the private wing of Kenyatta National Hospital, while his wife Celestine reached out to friends, fellow musicians, and music industry figures for additional support.
