Fugitive Gaza gang thugs torture police informer to death after the killing of their leader Mwane Sparta
Gaza leader Michael Mwaniki popularly known as Mwane Sparta was gunned down in Ruiru on August 20th after police were led to his hideout by an informer who was also a member of the notorious Kayole gang.
Nairobi detectives, who had infiltrated the dreaded gang, got firsthand intelligence from their informer who was unfortunately killed after the police raid in Ruiru.
Capital News spoke to a detective who narrated how the whole encounter unfolded; he revealed that the police informer was killed by six members of Gaza gang who escaped when police raided Mwane’s hideout.
“He (police informer) made a huge mistake…he went back to them without informing us, at an unknown location but still within Thika. They brutally killed him,” the police officer was quoted by Capital News.
According to the police, the informer was tortured by his fellow Gaza gang members before they strangled him to death.
“Though he was not seen during the raid, they must have known that he was the one who spied on them.”
