Five Die In Grisly Road Accident In Namanga

Five people died in a road accident at Maili Tisa in Namanga, Kajiado County on September 28, 2023. The accident occurred when a private vehicle hit a motorcycle head-on.

The five occupants of the vehicle, who were heading towards Namanga from Kajiado, died on the spot. The motorcycle rider and his two pillion passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Kajiado Referral Hospital.

According to an eyewitness, the vehicle was speeding and rolled several times after the collision.

Oloililai sub-county police commander Hassan Elena confirmed the accident and said that the five passengers died on the spot. He also said that the three survivors of the accident are recuperating at the hospital.

Elena urged all motorists and road users to be vigilant and to avoid speeding, especially during the rainy season when visibility is compromised. He added that investigations into the cause of the accident had been launched.

The bodies of the five victims were moved to the Kajiado Referral Hospital morgue.
