Ex-Citizen TV journalist Hussein Mohamed’s next big project unveiled
Just as netizens thought top Kenyan journalist Hussein Mohamed would make his comeback at a rival local TV station, turns out the ex-Citizen TV journalist actually partnered with an International organization.
Hussein Mohamed, a voice known for the Monday Prime Time News bulletin at the TV station, has now found solace in a new Global home.
Hussein Mohamed’s big project
In a revelation made by former KTN News anchor, Yussuf Ibrahim, it turns out that the two landed noble jobs as consultants in a new project funded by the US government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
An initiative dubbed ‘Resilience Learning Activity’ aimed at empowering people at the county level right from County Communication Directors to budding journalists.
“RLA is funded by USAID and set to last 5 years but the communication may continue for 4 months with possibilities of spilling over to next year,” added Mr Ibrahim.
“We have a partnership but it is not on paper. It happened we got this project as individual personalities but he has his own firm and I have my own company,” Yussuf divulged to a local publication.
The ex-KTN journalist however indicated plans to merge as individual consultants to put up a communication firm that will be a one-stop-shop dealing with issues around communication.
“This is the only place we are working for at the moment. We are individual consultants but we want to partner so we come up with a communication firm that will be a one-stop communication shop,” he revealed.
Mohamed runs a media company dubbed Iris Media while Ibrahim is the founder of Ubra Media.
Mr Hussein called it quits at Citizen TV in October 2019, where he worked for 10 years while Ibrahim left KTN News in 2017.
