Dr. Ofweneke Annoyed at Being Called a ‘Local YouTuber’

Comedian and content creator Dr. Ofweneke has voiced his displeasure with a local TV station’s website for describing him merely as a “local YouTube content creator.”

Taking to Instagram, Ofweneke expressed his frustration, criticizing the station for not properly recognizing him in an article they published based on an interview from his YouTube podcast, Lessons At 30.

He urged all media outlets in the country to properly credit celebrities when using their content in stories, asserting, “You won’t die or stink by doing so.”

“What’s so difficult about mentioning Lessons At 30 and Dr. Ofweneke? I am known as the Eagle himself, the Duke of Kakamega, Dr. Ofweneke—not a local YouTuber. Learn to give all ‘YouTubers’ and content creators their due recognition when you use their stories; you won’t die, and you won’t stink,” he remarked.

Many bloggers and content creators rallied in support of Ofweneke’s post, agreeing that it’s only fair to be given proper credit when their content is used for articles on other platforms.
