“DP Ruto’s Weston Hotel will not be spared in the ongoing demolition exercise” Sonko assures Kenyans
Economist David Ndii on Monday August 13th called on president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure Weston Hotel which is linked to deputy president William Ruto is demolished to get back grabbed public land.
@Ukenyatta this is public land. One more friend you need to lose. And once you are done with him, turn yourself in. https://t.co/fcWbKiZ50C pic.twitter.com/5ApCSFjxEv

Ndii also stressed that Taj Mall (now Airgate center) should also demolished just likeĀ Southend Mall and Ukay Centre since it’s also built on road reserve.
@UKenyatta tunachanga pesa ya fuel ya kuweka kwa hiyo Sany lini? After Ukay, Oswal Complex, Weston Hotel, Taj Mall should be next… Let us not give excuses for impunity, investing a lot of money in wrongdoing doesn't make a wrong right, ama namna gani? pic.twitter.com/J6rzPwgNLh

They will all be demolished
Nairobi governor Mike Sonko on Tuesday August 14th assured Kenyans that all buildings built on grabbed public land andĀ riparian land will all be demolished.
Sonko also fired shots at Ferdinand Waititu who called on the demolition exercise in Nairobi to stop. The Kiambu governor sensationally statedĀ the owners of buildings built on riparian land should be made to divert the rivers at their own cost.
“Kama watu wanasupport ubomoaji, mimi hapana support. Mambo iangaliwe kama kuna nyumba yako imekaribiana na mto, wewe uambiwe ni gharama yako kuhakikisha hiyo mto imesonga kidogo. Lakini kubomoa nyumba is not a solution. Honestly speaking. Itās such a big loss,” said Waititu on Sunday during a church service in Kikuyu constituency.
Sonko told Waititu to concentrate on his county of Kiambu and stopĀ meddling in Nairobi affairs;
“My good friend and colleague should concentrate on his county. He should know we don’t mix friendship with work. Even Weston; My Buru buru Casurina cocobeach plot; Taj mall and many other buildings shall not be spared if found to be on riparian or public land.
OR May be he does not know what is the definition of a Riparian land and that’s why even in campus he was copying me during CATS. Infact he needs to tell us the status of a petrol station constructed on a grabbed public access at the junction of mihango and Njiru,” wrote Mike Sonko on Facebook.
