Director Trevor has revealed his intention to return to school, while also opening up about a major regret in his life
Media influencer and experienced content creator Director Trevor has expressed a strong desire to return to college, nearly four years after dropping out in 2020.
Trevor also revealed that he regrets not accepting a corporate 9-to-5 job offer when it was presented to him. Although self-employment offers the benefit of flexible hours, he sometimes misses the stability and peace of mind that come with a regular paycheck.

Explaining why he didn’t complete his degree, the videographer said, “While at JKUAT, I struggled with school fees, but something good happened—COVID-19. During that period, I started doing more online work. By the time the pandemic was over, I had already built my brand, so I didn’t return to school.”
However, Trevor now plans to correct that decision and earn his degree. “I’m planning to go back to school in South Africa to study Cinematic Arts,” he added.
When asked if he has ever considered being employed, Trevor admitted that he often thinks about it.
He believes that employment provides a sense of peace and relief from the pressures of entrepreneurship. “Sometimes I wish I had a 9-to-5 job. I feel like it offers peace of mind, fewer complications, and less stress. When you run your own business, you’re constantly under pressure, stressed, and unable to sleep because of all the thoughts racing through your mind,” he shared.

Trevor also recounted a missed opportunity for a high-paying job with a major media company, a decision he now sometimes regrets.
“I once got offered a very big job with a major media company, and I’m sure they were willing to pay me well, but at that time, I was making money online and enjoying my freedom. Sometimes I wish I had taken the job because the company is international, so I’m sure I would have been posted in Africa and traveled a lot. I feel like I made a mistake by turning it down,” Trevor confessed.
