Diana Marua finally addresses the huge age difference between Bahati and her
Diana Marua got married to Bahati who is way younger than her. Apparently the huge age difference is not a concern to her like the way it’s bothering critics.
Some say age is only a number but others are totally opposed to the idea of marrying a woman older than them. This was debate early this year when Diana Marua’s age was revealed.
Diana is 6 years older than Bahati and some people thought the huge age difference was ‘very unpleasant’. Bahati’s wife finally addressed the age difference during an interview with Pulse.
“Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. Back then, some people said things that were cruel but we are over that and it is none of our concern now. I mean, we have been together for almost two years now having gone through the different faces of friendship, dating and now marriage. We always put it out there everything we want people to know. What they make of it is their choice,” Diana responded when asked whether she was affected by the way Kenyans openly expressed their discontent about the age difference.
Low key wedding
Bahati’s wife also opened up about their low key traditional wedding held at her parents’ compound. She says that there was nothing to hide about her wedding. Diana explains that there is a possibility for a second wedding since they didn’t invite all of their friends to their first wedding.
“First of all, we feel so as we could not invite all our friends as this was largely a family affair. We only had our close associates and a small bridal team that comprised of very close friends. The truth is that we had nothing to hide. The fact, however, remains that this was a family affair and the setting was just that,” Diana explained.
